Revive the spirit of Texas and the cowboys who lived their lives punching cattle in the Davis Mountains.  Enjoy a whole weekend in true cowboy-style: roundup the cattle and drive them to pens, practice roping the calves, "throw" them for branding, tag and inoculate them, then release the herd back to pasture.  This ride is a true Texas-style adventure that will have you literally on the edge of your seat after you return from a hard day's honest labor in the saddle.

You'll be free to take as much or as little part in the activities as you are able.  Guided by lifetime cowboys, you'll have the opportunity to learn each stage of annual cattle workings: from driving cattle along a mountain road to working their calves. 

A Monday morning through Friday noon vacation from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you'll receive cowboy-style meals during your stay.  Accommodations are at the original headquarters of the historic R.M. Sproul Ranch homestead, established in the 1880's.
